Bromyard Bowmen has a membership with a wide spectrum of ages, from eight to eighty, with archers shooting Recurve, Compound and Longbow both recreationally and competitively.

Junior members are encouraged to participate in the EAF Rose Awards and Archery GB Junior Award Schemes.

Coaching, including video analysis, is freely available.

For those interested in competing, they can enter tournaments which are held regularly in the area, and enjoy participating in other fun events such as Field Archery, Clout Shoots and Inter-club tournaments.

Facilities

Outdoor Shooting

Bromyard Bowmen shoot at the Clive Richards Sports Ground on the Tenbury Road just out of Bromyard, Herefordshire. We shoot on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm and Sunday from 2pm during the Summer Season (May-September). Winter Season are the same timings but we use the indoor shooting hall.

Indoor Shooting Hall

Bromyard Bowmen’s purpose built hall was constructed in 2001/2 by the members. The wheelchair accessible hall is permanently setup with foam targets. It is well lit and has a full width foam backstop wall. It supports ten shooting positions at distances up to 25m. Along with this is a meeting area, equipment bench and tea/coffee making facilities. The hall allows us to do equipment repairs and other activities when the weather is bad or the evenings have closed in.
